Become a woodland ambassador
If you are worried about the planet and unsure how to make a difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This is your chance to to gain key environmental campaigning skills, network with like-minded people and make your voice heard. Become a woodland ambassador, tell your story and inspire your community, while helping us reach our goal of 10,000 signatures and passing a legal bill.
Our dedicated roles are only suitable for those 30 and under as we want to increase youth participation and representation in the conservation sector. Anyone over this age can still support us directly through our Whatsapp group and through engaging and sharing our content on social media.
Current Volunteer Roles
Finance & Fundraising Officer
This role will include grant applications, book-keeping and administration. Your main aim will be to research funding opportunities and you will be supported in writing funding applications. The goal is to put more funding into the project so we can continue to educate about ancient trees and find more funding to support research for the legal bill.
Partnerships Officer
This role will include outreach and community engagement. You will help us connect with new people and businesses so we can work collaboratively to help grow our profile and work towards our legal aims. This will include social media collaborations, sponsorships and funding opportunities. The goal is to create a strong network around Ancient Woodlands UK in the conservation sector.
Communications Assistant
This role will vary depending on your skills and interests. It could include content creation, website management, outreach, blogging, photography, videography, campaigns and branding. Dependant on future needs, it could include event coordination.
Campaign Ambassador
This role will include outreach and community engagement. You will help us connect with new people and businesses through either content creation or public campaigning. The goal is to reach more people in the public to increase our petition signatures and social media presence.
Research Assistant
This role will include working alongside our head research team. You will help research and write literature reviews on scientific research and legislation. The theme of research will vary depending on campaign needs and you will be advised on this. The goal is to create documents which advise our lawyer on the bill.
